With fees for Employment Tribunals a thing of the past after the Supreme Court ruled them unlawful this summer, a leading City of London law firm is inviting Directors to attend a breakfast briefing on how to minimise the chances of having a claim brought against them.
Carter Lemon Camerons LLP is holding the free event next month to help Directors ensure they know the basic principles of employment law, how to manage their staff effectively and what to do if they are faced with a tribunal claim.
Solicitors, Kate Boguslawska and Andrew Firman, who are both Partners at Carter Lemon Camerons LLP, will provide some practical tips on how employers can avoid tribunal claims.
Dorota Iwankiewicz, Senior Branding Professional from DM2 Agency, will present on how to manage brand reputation when faced with employees’ claims.
The event will take place at the offices of Carter Lemon Camerons LLP at 10 Aldersgate Street, London, EC1A 4HJ from 8am to 9.30am on 16 November 2017.
Kate Boguslawska said:
“There was a significant decrease in the number of Employment Tribunal claims made after fees were introduced in 2013, so it is reasonable to assume that claims will once again be more likely now that fees have been abolished.
“Company Directors need to ensure that they have an up to date awareness of employment law and best practice as it is not only obvious and egregious matters that can result in Employment Tribunal claims.
“Our briefing will help Directors to minimise the risk of having an employment tribunal claim made against them and the associated financial, reputational and brand damage this can lead to.
“I would encourage Company Directors to sign up today.”
Places at the briefing are limited, so Directors are encouraged to sign up today by visiting www.cartercamerons.com/event/.
